BOTTLE SCAN is a cost-effective on-line scanner that detects hazardous substances in liquid and/or solid materials bottled in glass and transparent plastics. When used in conjunction with other explosive-detection screening methods, BOTTLE SCAN provides an effective second line of defense against enhanced Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) camouflaged as alcoholic beverages, perfumes and/or other seemingly innocent containers.Using Laser Raman Spectroscopy, BOTTLE SCAN detects and identifies the hazardous substance “fingerprint” in order to assess the correct response.
